Glenn Ponder brings over two decades of comprehensive commercial real estate expertise to Red Rock Realty Group, a career journey that began in November 2001, inspired by his father’s pioneering firm, Ponder Properties Commercial Real Estate. Starting in sales and leasing, Glenn quickly expanded his role, establishing and leading the firm’s Property Management division at the direct request of clients who sought a holistic approach to their investments – not just filling spaces, but meticulously caring for them.

This deep operational insight, honed through years of hands-on property management, complements his passion for sales, leasing, and development. Glenn’s diverse background includes serving as Director of Sales, Leasing & Development at Chase Commercial Realty (2020-2025) and prior to that, as Commercial Real Estate Specialist, Senior Property Manager, and Director of Operations at Ponder Properties CRE. His move to Red Rock Realty Group in 2025 was driven by their unparalleled operational efficiency, collaborative team environment, and robust, process-driven approach – a “well-oiled machine” designed to ensure every client receives the highest caliber of service.

Glenn’s unique blend of technical and operational knowledge sets him apart. With a foundation built from working his way up in multi-million-dollar retail operations (progressing to Vice President of Operations), he offers invaluable guidance on tenant “health ratios” and business strategies. His prior career as a telecom lineman and electronics technician equipped him with an exceptional grasp of specialized utilities and mechanical systems. Glenn truly “sees walls where there are no walls,” understanding complex architectural and MEP plans, allowing him to visualize and reconfigure spaces to perfectly fit a tenant’s dream.

Deeply committed to helping early-stage small businesses, he shares lessons learned from his own extensive experience. Glenn’s profound understanding of Birmingham’s 99 distinct neighborhoods provides clients with unparalleled local market intelligence, making him a trusted advisor for optimal strategies and site selection.
